That said, one of the players chose the Meddling Kid playbook and chose to be a Scooby-Doo-style animal. His name is Sgt. DeGluck and he is a Jewish, Francophone anthropomorphic chicken who is a veteran of WWII and has, until quite recently, passed as the school mascot.

Rewatching 'Poltergeist' (1982, dir. Tobe Hooper), and I don't think I can overstate the way this movie introduced a generation to the pleasures of jumpscares, gross-outs, and JoBeth Williams.
