I was running Ubuntu 10-15 years ago. Emulation through Wine was already viable for most things, even if I had to wait for someone smarter than me to figure it out first. I've lazily lingered on Windows due to some of the niche tools I use, but gearing to change as patience for fuckery runs thin.

Oh wait, THIS thread. The computer with fried mobo this week was the battle net/windows collision. The computer that handles the sticker machines (and what my post was about) luckily updated without incident, but rebooted the machine in the middle of everything which could've botched a print. 🙄

This one decided to happen at the same time the battle net launcher was updating, and I think they cannibalized each other. I'm so fucking over it. This rig is getting a Linux partition and I'm moving away from Windows, Windows 11 spyware, all of it. I had been sparing myself the hassle, no more.

Yesterday, I printed a couple sheets of stickers to fulfill out-of-stocks for a very large website order (thank you!) Today, I was supposed to laminate and cut. First sheet, laminate crinkles and kills the sheet. Second sheet, the cut snags and kills the sheet. wtf universe get it together
