Pretty clear that Trump/Hegseth are doing everything they can to force Ukraine to surrender to Putin by withholding all US assistance while actively helping fund the Russian war machine to kill as many civilians as possible including kids. What a dark, evil chapter in US history.

Trump and Musk are doing everything they can to try and force Ukraine to surrender to Putin while Musk spends over $300 million to try and buy the midterm elections to maintain total power. The American government under Republicans are on the side of evil. Vote them out.

The Trump White House and Hegseth Pentagon have been burrowing Musk more into the US national security architecture, along with other techno-fascist oligarchs like Peter Thiel and Palmer Luckey. A Dem-led Congress should review and expose it, and with a future president undo as much as possible.

Can’t Allow Elon Musk the Power to Intervene in Wars No individual should be able to disrupt military ops like Musk did with Ukraine’s. I wrote that when he did it in 2023. Was told the problem was contract rules. Nope. Happened again. The problem is too much power, esp for an enemy of democracy.

The billionaire’s interference in Ukrainian military operations shows he’s a national security risk. No private citizen should have that much power.

Billions of dollars’ worth of contracts predicting oil would fall and the S&P 500 would rise were placed about 15 minutes before Trump announced a U-turn on Iran in a post on Truth Social. CFTC staff began to investigate...then were told to lay off. www.bloomberg.com/news/feature...

Trump is openly siding with Putin, blaming Ukraine's self-defense rather than Russia's aggression for the war, and telling Ukraine to surrender. Worth calling it out every time. But hardly new. Ambushing Zelensky in DC, aping Russian propaganda, and insisting it's Ukraine's fault was March 2025.

Even though we were poor, I never went without lunch at school growing up. But it really did suck when, surrounded by classmates, the lady punching lunch tickets gave me shit about my parents being behind in their payments and I wouldn't get another ticket until they got caught up.

Note that he doesn't say this about the other President in the conflict. You know, the one that was the agressor. Trump wants a Ukrainian president that is willing to surrender to Putin, because he's on Putin's side.

But I do recall my mother describing lunch time in her rural Iowa school during the depression (before the school lunch program) and how kids in one family having nothing but a box of popcorn to share with each other (and while most everyone was struggling, at least mom had farm food for lunch).

I recall Stephen Ambrose saying that one of the most important things the WPA accomplished was providing hot lunches to students. I don't remember him claiming that that was mission creep.

How much mission creep has actually occurred in the past 50 years Tom? Can we agree that 1) kids learn better when they're not hungry and have a home, 2) schools could effectively provide free lunches, 3) other entities are better equipped to provide housing so schools should stay out of it?
