Last year the Wildwood country music festival thought the regular settler cosplay wasn't fascist enough so the theme was army camo. They started the event with an announcer screaming about immigration crackdowns playing so loud you could hear it a mile away.

I'm surprised to see any positive opinions about a trailer for a new Brad Bird movie. Even setting aside the John Lasseter of it all, I thought "Tomorrowland" was so unbearable that I could only get through the first 15 minutes.

The one kid in my boy scout troop who played Warhammer 40K was convinced that the Tyranids were somehow created in the 60s before "Alien" came out, despite what it said on Wikipedia. This is still like the main thing I know about 40K.

One time at district court we had an elder abuse case where the defendant lived with his elderly mom. She slips and falls, and he leaves her on the floor for 3 days. Diarrhea everywhere. His attorney did the phoniest "I'm just a little guy up against big government" routine and the jury loved it

We're almost done the first season of Better Call Saul and what they don't show you is that half of the court-appointed-attorney cases he takes are for driving without a license, and the other half are for incest. You would not believe how much incest there is in this country.

When I was a law clerk I read a lot of filings in civil suits about abuse and all defendants in those matters claim that the plaintiff is making it all up for money, it’s basically perfunctory.

I think it’s a major failure of both the US and Japanese comic book industries that Go Nagai has never drawn a Vampirella vs. Devilman comic. I’m sure he would have done it if anyone asked.

Once I made a joke about how no one could possibly want to read 30 issues of the “Spawn Universe” spinoff “Rat City” and I ended up having a nice interaction with the number one “Rat City” fan. There’s gotta be someone out there absolutely thrilled that Miracleman is joining the Marvel Universe

Having read the complaint against Brubaker, I think it’s probably sufficiently plead to survive summary judgment. They’ll settle and “the comics industry” will see that as plausible deniability to keep Brubaker regularly employed.
