If it impacts humans then it obviously impacts wildlife in the area. Disruption of wildlife can cause migration or removal of entire species. 100

It’s already using the same amount of water a town of 10,000-50,000 people would use in a year. Imagine doubling an entire population overnight. The infrastructure in place cannot sustain that use. 100

Quick research shows 5 millions gallons a day at the higher end of output and some medium sized data centers at around 300,000 gallons daily 100

One side destroys the resource while the other is needed to grow to food. Modern Ag is not perfect, but not comparable to AI water needs. 100
