September books! Birnam Wood by Eleaner Catton was really good! I rarely read thrillers, but I really liked this one. Every single character was insufferable and somewhat questionable, and I love that!

Last month I learnt a lot just by reading interesting books. I've learnt about the sworn virgin tradition and the Kanun law in Albania, life in Yugoslavia and ex-Yugoslavian countries (mainly Slovenia), freshwater pearl mussels, and the polio pandemic in the 50's.

Got a mullet this week, and I've never put so much meaning to a haircut before. I wanted something that would distance me from the business environment where I work, and I also wanted people to stop assuming I mean a husband when I say "my spouse". And of course I wanted something that looks cool!
