Beren: What did you do on it when it broke? Andrew: I was writing. That's the only thing I do on the computer. Beren: Did you have many programs open? Andrew: No, just the writing program and the email program. And I had my USB in it, with text documents.

Beren: That's not "just a broken computer", that's a fire hazard. Have you seen the smoke and sparks? How long has it been like that? Andrew: Half a year maybe. I haven't had enough money to have it fixed. Beren: Half a-... And at that moment, several processes in Beren's brain froze.
