Do you use/have heard/like the Zettelkasten method for taking notes?? What do you think about it? 🤔🤔🤔 I have heard about it before but I didn't see how it could benefit me. But now I am taking a course where I have to think and learn and reflect about new things for me and I am seeing the appeal.

"Duolingo is still great for beginners" bruh it's addictive while being ineffective, that's the worst combination. It's getting you started with being addicted to Duolingo and *not* learning a language on your own terms and at your own pace. (A pace that *needs* to be faster than Duo's)

+ on the other hand, it was difficult for me to focus on the exercises because how I have let social media ruin my attention span. It's not the course's fault it's mine/the system's I spent like 30 min on Quizlet practicing the vocab because i got it wrong each time because I WASN'T paying attention

My point with my logs is that when I achieve a proficiency and cool level in Italian and some tells me "oh you are just good at languages" or "how did you do it?" Or "how much time will it take me to speak Italian?". I'll print this log and send it to them like 👀👀👀 A LOT. IT TAKES A LOT.

The most common misconception is that you either "know" a language or you don't. There are at least three different vectors of language ability: vocabulary, grammar, and accent. Accent matters least unless yours is so bad you can't be understood. All three are *spectra,* not on/off binaries.

This sounds like a fun little experiment, but it has absolutely nothing to do with language learning. It's a Google Translate with bells on, and will do absolutely nothing to actually help you learn a language.
