Once again - the problem isn't "ooo AI models are too scary and powerful". It's that the developers of these products are irresponsible dolts, who have absolutely no intention of changing how they behave. Stop making excuses, use existing laws and make them responsible for their own actions.

New data suggests that people ages 34 and younger may be less likely to develop shingles than previous generations. That’s because they are more likely to have been vaccinated against the varicella zoster virus, or chickenpox, which can reactivate years later as shingles.

The number of homeless begging in front of shops has tripled here since the summer. I can't say I'm surprised with the prices as they are. It's gonna be a hot season of Gilets Jaunes this autumn, I can feel it.

For context, the school proposed a one-week exchange with a German town to Fifteen as well, which our other son did and really enjoyed, and for that one we had to decide last Thursday! We made Fifteen choose at the risk of the Scotland trip being too expensive. If we say no now he's got neither 😟

Fifteen's school has told us the price for the planned Scotland trip: €800 euros. Four nights in a youth hostel, transport by Eurostar and train to Edinburgh, bus for driving round Scotland. 800 euros!! They told us yesterday evening and it should be decided before Monday!!

Eleven said he tries not to drink too much at school because the toilets are locked a lot of the time. Between classes it's not possible and at lunchtime you have to be quick, because you get called by name, so if you're in the toilet and miss your name you get bumped down and have to eat last. 😡

I have talked with Eleven about school and practised some German. Fifteen went out almost immediately to do some informal choir practice, and has gone out again for an hour-long run. I don't even know if he has homework, but with him you can be sure it will get done.
