Putting in the new fuel pump now, so everyone cross their fingers that this fixes our car! My husband is a delivery driver, which means we have zero income without a working vehicle. I need to pay my dad back for the fuel pump asap; if you can help me do that, thank you. ko-fi.com/sparksofstar...

Glad I decide to reread The Love Hypothesis before watching the movie later. I think I completely missed how well Olive is written as a demisexual.

I am pretty convinced that a lot of the "problems" a lot of tech bros are trying to solve all boils down to "I don't want to have to interact with people at all" and sure, introversion exists, but imo socialization is just a skill they refuse to have.

Still only $125/$357 of her first bill covered — Ko-fi takes a cut, so if anyone is interested in direct PayPal donations, please feel free to DM me as every penny counts. Maggie's surgery Friday will remove possibly cancerous tumors & drain the aural hematoma in her right ear, plus she'll have–

A collage of five pictures of my dog Maggie. Maggie is a black and white American Bulldog; her body is mostly white, with big black patches across her shoulder blades that look like angel wings, and her right ear is mostly black, except for a V shape of white fur down the center of her ear. She has a black patch on her side that looks like a rubber ducky. Her snout looks like she's been snufflelupping in coal. She has hundreds upon hundreds of black spots under her white fur, which is especially visible when she is wet. (We joke that we wash them on with each bath, as she didn't have them as a puppy.)

From the top to bottom, Left-Right:
1) Maggie is outside and covered in mud. It is splattered all across her face, covering her snout, and dripping from her mouth. Her front legs and chest are completely brown with mud. This is why we call her Maggie The Mud Monster.
2) Maggie is inside a blue tent, sitting with her head turned so she's looking at me. She's on an orange air mattress pad. The tumor on her lip is visible, but smaller than it is now as this photo is several months old. The window flap is open behind her, revealing dusk outside. My husband is laying down behind her, his legs and feet visible.
3) Maggie is wearing a child's red sweatshirt outside in the snow. Snow sticks to her sweatshirt, and her nose from where she's been fetching snowballs. She is waiting expectantly for another snowball to be thrown.
4) A small picture of my hand holding Maggie's left forearm, a pink tumor about the size of my thumb framed between my thumb and pointer finger. This was taken today.
5) Maggie is laying on my bed, a blue comforter under her. She is asleep, but her black ear is stuck up like she's listening for something. You can see her pretty white eyelashes here.

Another collage of Maggie, except now there are puppy pictures as well.

From top-bottom, left to right:
1) Maggie as a teeny tiny puppy with the attitude of a thousand teenagers. She is outside on the ground, the grass mostly dead underneath her, as she chews at the ground. She's laying down, her eyes cutting upwards as she stares at something out of view of the photo, her little ears tipped forward over her forehead. She looks stupidly cute (and is why she got away with So Very Much).
2) Maggie grown and in another kid's sweatshirt. This one is navy blue and on the back of it is says in colorful script "It's Owl Good" with a picture of an owl below it. The double O's in "good" are the owl's eyes. The photo is taken from above as Maggie sniffs something on the ground. Her tail is curved up like a hook.
3) Maggie is on my bed, a purple comforter below her, her head on a pillow. She is laying spread eagle on her back, absolutely zero fucks given. She looks like she is smiling in her sleep. There's a plastic water bottle next to her face.
4) A small photo of an equally small Maggie standing outside with her front paw off the ground and her mouth open in shock. She is giving Stella (off screen but next to her) a look like she's saying "Woah, woah, woah, hold on just a dang minute!"
5) Maggie is outside, literally elbow deep in a mud puddle in the middle of our yard, green grass showing where the mud hasn't covered it. Her feet and the bottom of her legs are completely sunk into the ground, mud all the way up to her shoulders, her chest and belly covered with it. The picture is taken from the side so her entire right side is visible in frame. Her face is buried in the mud puddle almost to her eyes. She is blowing bubbles in the mud, although you can't really tell that in this picture. Her tail is hooked up behind her and her ears are sticking straight out over her face. Mud is splattered EVERYWHERE. Her white fur provides a nice contrast to the brown mud.

Y'all I need help!! Maggie's ear has swollen up & we have to take her to the vet as soon as they open in the morning. It hurts her and she's holding her head sideways when she walks. Literally anything will help; I don't know how much the vet will cost, but she has to go. ko-fi.com/sparksofstar...

A photo of my hand holding my dog Maggie's right ear. It's swollen on the floppy part of her ear, puffy and red. Her ear used to be almost completely black, but it has gone very white with age. She's a white dog with big black patches over her ribs like a pair of wings and then more black on her butt and hips. She's standing on a grey dog bed.

Generative AI is not only fundamentally based on the rejection of consent, but also *standards*. Artists have been micromanaged and hounded over individual pixels, academics fighting to defend every minute detail of their thesis, etc, and then are tossed away in favor of the get shit wrong machine.
