Wonder how many scandals it's going to take before this stops. Every so often we seem to have a collective psychotic episode. Look at lobotomies - a guy gets a Nobel Prize for developing a procedure that is basically "stick a needle into brain and stir". But eventually it was banned. Eventually.

It would appear that Amnesty have found themselves in a lose/lose situation. They are losing donors (and possibly facing legal action) for publishing an anti-rights report. They are also losing donors for "un"publishing the very same report. Perhaps next time run it past legal before publishing?

I use Prolific for some of my recruitment and it's been a bit of a minefield with various indirect routes to obtaining child DOB but now I can get it directly so I'm waiting for a flood of data

It would perhaps help if there was more focus on the whole child and appropriate therapeutic intervention addressing all of their co morbidities rather than focussing in on gender and leading children to believe that they can be something that they aren't and never can be.

The GLP are often irresponsible when they talk about suicide. They seem to always overlook the level of co morbidities existing in children presenting as trans, and that the focus on the gender aspect often means these co morbidities get overlooked and untreated.

It's been quite amusing being on here and X seeing Jolyon Maugham declare his friendship for JKR and her denial. But this sort of talk is disturbing from a KC. Surely this is against the standards set by the BSB? I'm a simple lay person, but for me this from a KC reflects badly on the profession.

Some odd arguments in the comments. Fact is that one of two things is true: 1. Emma Hilton is correct In which case van Leuven being male should complete in the open category 2. Emma Hilton is wrong in which case van Leuven can compete in the open category as there is no disadvantage to doing so.

The Bar Standards Board sent the GLP a detailed determination rejecting the complaint of harassment on 27 March 2026. Yet it has taken the GLP almost a week to update its followers on this outcome, and to do so with redaction of examples of the complainant’s own abusive language cited by the BSB
