Increasingly, I have seen folks who released music through GameChops distance themselves from the label and express a desire to re-distro outside of it. But there's a cost involved in that which many musicians may not be able to cover. So, fuck it, let me put my money where my mouth is.

At the very end of the process I was permited to draw even more Pokémon "cameos" aside of Mew's tail to make the final artwork more vibrant and full of life. I even added some easter eggs like the previous Pokemon albums "on sale" on the pokermart lol I really love the final result for this one! <3

Now we have everything, I used photoshop to make the color grading to take it to that "Old cover, anime-ish, Citypop" vibe. I was working this as a one-piece but decided to make more diferences when it splits in two afterwards. The most clear example was the tones of the sky. I loved that detail!

Sometimes I totally suck at drawing complex and open spaces perspectives, so I literally used one of my fav webpages for this; noclip.website! I tried to match the perspective of every building, lightpost and set of trees and literally took lots of screenshots, as you can see here:

Same as Goldenrod, I changed the actual layout of the buildings a bit to make it more appealing to the artwork, added some new elements and tried to show the Indigo League at the distance! (Also, I made some darker trees to match Viridian Forest on the back too).

First, I had a clear vision that I wanted to make the exact same formula from "Goldenrod Citypop" (the previous albums), but actually Viridian City from the first Pokémon games it's a much more boring looking place, so I choose the HeartGold & SoulSilver version and started sketching the terrain.

I decided that I'll start teaching all of you some of my fav Chilean Spanish phrases for some situations. One of them is "Éste weon cree que somos weones?" which is basically "This asshole really thinks we're all stupid?" and I think it's a beautiful way to translate this gaslighting of a statement
