His time as a tank driver with the King's Royal Hussars was remarkably brief and entirely devoid of distinction; his military career came to an ignominious and clumsy halt not in the heat of combat, but when he managed to dislocate his own kneecap during a basic bayonet drill. He was medically discharged before he ever saw a shred of active service or set foot on a foreign battlefield. To use this short-lived training mishap to build a persona of military machismo is a supreme insult to those who have actually served. It takes an extraordinary amount of nerve to play the battle-hardened commander when your only operational casualty was your own leg during a practice run.

Nothing secret about it - I worked for a company whose sister company ran a newsroom in our office, they used BASYS and I was always fascinated by it. With my interest in retrocomputing, I think it'd be interesting to go back to basics and have an emulated DEC VAX running it
