I live here - and work as a therapist and went to college nearby back in the 80’s. Sexual violence is endemic at Cornell and has been for decades.

I attended Wells, the now-shuttered women’s college not far from Cornell. For many years Cornell’s Theta Delta Chi chapter were allowed to come to campus one night in the Fall to lure frosh women back to their frat by well dressed “brothers” toting bottles of champagne. Guess what would happen?

As someone who lives a mile from campus and has worked in this community for over 30 years as a counselor, thank you for shining a light on the utter failure of Cornell to protect female students. That chart I am sure reflects a tiny fraction of the actual sexual assaults etc that have occurred

It’s so discouraging - it seems like 1/3 of our citizens are in a cult now. Reagan got rid of the legislation that ensures journalists had to report truthfully/accurately (along with his horrible economic policies etc.) and our nation has been in decline ever since.
