I've discovered additional roulette sequences in Debutante Detective Corps on the PC-FX, so I'm working on getting those into English. It feels like we're getting close now. I'm more confident this will be a released project, and very high quality, minus a concession or two.

Something that's easy to miss in the history of Japanese romance games is that otome games weren't some later development after dating sims proved themselves. Angelique came out four months after the original PCE version of Tokimeki Memorial, making them and their respective scenes contemporaneous.

"Escape From Being an NEET! Usuko's Job Hunting Labyrinth" was preserved by LNRC. The goal is to navigate to the top of a business building to obtain a job certificate, fighting through employees who want to keep their positions! This is certainly one of the more unique i-mode games to be preserved.

Today is the 35th anniversary of Elf Corporation's masterpiece ADV "DE・JA". Written by Masato Hiruta, it was heavily story driven, which was groundbreaking in the world of adult PC games back in 1990.

I don't know why I didn't notice this before, but the HuC6270 has a logic input that specifies whether it's accessed in 8-bit or 16-bit mode (one address line gets ignored in 16-bit mode, and 8 data lines get ignored in 8-bit mode).

This should have been obvious by looking at the PC Engine and PC-FX boards, but for some reason I thought the latches were external. Being a (mostly) software guy, I didn't pay much attention. But this is a critical piece of functionality which is needed for FPGA implementation.

I just fixed what I hope is the last issue with CD+G playback on the TG16 (PC Engine) core on MiSTer, and submitted a pull request. (It may take a while to appear in official release though). While implementing this, I learned a lot !

For fun, tried applying PC Engine palette to an arcade screenshot of Black Tiger. I prefer how the ground turned out, but back wall trickier to match up due to more restricted palette. (would need to redraw a bit to get it to work better I think)
