Here’s the latest ddr. Heat Werk archive from last Friday. I dunno, it was a bit of a messy one mixing-wise, but it kind of made sense at the time (I was rolling live in the studio) There’s a bit of dub at the start, then into disco, freestyle & house (new & old) - www.mixcloud.com/DublinDigita...

Brexitier tears are not worth savouring, they’re full of toxins & microbial bacteria and should be treated as a biohazard. Best to bin those Daily Mail articles and remember to bleach the jacks after flushing any Telegraph ones 👍

This was a very enjoyable gig. I couldn’t see what Willie Stewart was doing but there was a slight kind of Einstürzende Neubauten vibe to how it sounded. Natalia Beylis & Eimear Reidy were great, nice loud church organ drones and awesome cello, at times blissful, other times turbulent & mournful

Wise humans are able to live with uncertainty & ambiguity when they need to. Probability machines tasked with producing strict outcomes cannot. Being wise enough to understand the difference is the trick that needs a human brain. Imho, orgs that hold onto that capability will have an advantage

Building up institutional knowledge & wisdom cannot be automated easily. It’s humans that do that work. Take for example how major incidents are avoided by making good decisions, that’s quite hard to measure & quantify. Not everything that happens in organisations is written in language

I reviewed the new Trá Pháidín album for Best Fit. It is stupid good. Batshit good. A boggy mix of post-rock, free jazz, naturalistic ambient. Read here – it's out on Friday www.thelineofbestfit.com/albums/tra-p...

Trá Pháidín cultivate a modernist Irish sound that defies easy categorisation

Trá Pháidín aren’t trying to modernise a form rooted in tradition; rather, they are seeking to bricolage something novel.

Would love to hear more wonkiness and weirdness come back into techno & house. Not a complaint, prob just me, but so much of it I hear these days is very functional sounding and thematically straight forward. Bring back the weird I say
