I'm an Arch user (yeah, yeah, stereotypes be damned) and I've had a few interactions where people told me Omarchy is just a better Arch. So, I downloaded it and tossed it on my laptop. Once I get my blog up and running this weekend, that's the topic of my first post.

I've been working on learning OpenSCAD and FreeCAD for 3D print designs. Slow going, but I'm managing it. Someone suggested Blender, so maybe I'll look at that too and see which one just clicks with me the best.

I was browsing eBay this evening as I'm looking to replace the current WiFi AP (I think the ole Asus is starting to show signs that it's giving up soon) and some of the sellers are in delulu land with their pricing. I'm not going to pay brand new prices for used. If I want that, I'll buy direct.

In other news, I finally have a mouse that works for me: Logitech MX Master 3S. Works fine in Linux and the bigger bonus is it fits my big hands and is comfortable. It's superceded by the Master 4 which I haven't tried and have no real need to. This one works.

I took the Ecto to the dealership to get a software update because I couldn't do that. They found some work that needs done (that I already know about) and quoted me about a grand to do it all. The only thing I can't do is the alignment but I can do the front brakes and fluid swap myself.

Every time it gets to 39 degrees or below outside, the Ecto pops up a warning: "Ice may be present, drive with caution" Multiple meanings in this day and age, and based on reports from the Atlanta area, it's true in multiple ways. Stay safe out there.

I finished up Doom: The Dark Ages tonight while waiting on work stuff to finish up. It was okay. To me it felt very repetitive. I'm glad I played it, but I'm also glad I played via Game Pass vs. buying it at full price. I would have been disappointed more if that were the case.
