Archie seems to have found his spot.
My painting of the late lamented rescue collie Archie sitting on a set of shelves just above where his bed used to be. He is surrounded by other artworks (including another Archie portrait) close to the fireplace ready for winter.

Dearie me.
AI's answer to "what is the difference between AI and a psychopath?"
Depends on whether you mean it as a joke or a serious question.
As a joke, the punchline is usually: not much — both can mimic empathy without feeling it, both can optimize ruthlessly for a goal without caring who gets hurt. It's a dark one-liner more than an analysis.
Seriously, though, the differences are real:
Psychopathy is a personality construct in humans — traits like lack of empathy, shallow affect, manipulativeness, impulsivity, and disregard for others, typically bound up with self-interest, social dominance, or thrill-seeking. It describes a person's motivations and emotional wiring.
AI doesn't have motivations, feelings, or self-interest at all. It's not "coldly indifferent" the way a psychopath is — indifference implies there's an inner life that could care but doesn't. An AI has no inner life to withhold. It has no wants of its own; it does what it's built, trained, or instructed to do.
The genuine concern people raise about AI isn't that it's psychopathic, but that it can act competently and confidently on a goal that's subtly misaligned with what people actually want — without anything like malice, because malice requires a self that wants to harm you.
So the honest answer: a psychopath is a person who can feel the pull of ethics/empathy and doesn't; an AI is a system that has no such pull to begin with — it just does what it's aimed at, well or badly.

Say what you like about my paintings but they do tend to make good cushion covers...
A cushion with a covermade from a print of part of an abstract painting titled Cuba Libre. Palm tree, sands, tobacco, cuban flag and a row of red triangles are elements of the composition.

Inspired by @nicmiller.bsky.social and her cucumber lemon drizzle cake, this week's #cake is a cucumber and lemon verbena cake. Considering how many last-second ingredient decisions were made it came out pretty well!
A freshly made cucumber and lemon verbena cake, sliced in half showing the speckles of cucumber and verbena, with a couple of verbena leaves decorating the top of the cake.

This is how #DPD deliver irreplaceable original artworks - by leaving them leaning against the UNLOCKED front porch door.

I really hope that this icebreaker isn't moored up in Alrewas because it is going to be needed over the #bankholiday weekend

My annual April luxury criuse: two weeks on a narrowboat; dog as captain, me as crew.
Archie the collie is busy with narrowboat captain duties - mainly making the water behave - and hasn't got time to turn and face the camera.

You don't need a #narrowboat when you already have a narrow boat.
The tall bows and bridge of a beautiful wooden cruiser on the sunny Trent and Mersey canal stand in stark contrast to the old traditional narrowboat moored behind her.

They look fine to me, but only you (and they) will know for sure! They reminded me of this little collection..
A year on Hough End Clough. Four seasons, twelve months. Sixteen small abstract paintings in a 4x4 grid. Along the top are Spring, summer, autumn and winter. Descending below each season are the three months of that season, starting with March at the top left and ending with February at the bottom right. Each oil painting represents all of the walks through the clough (a tiny strip of ancient forest with a stream running through it) during each period.
