TIL: This is a Curta mechanical calculator, the state of the art from 1938 to 1970, when electronic calculators replaced them. It could do rapid arithmetic operations. Nicknames for these pocket devices: "Math grenade" "Peppermill" The inventor was an Austrian engineer, Curt Herzstark.

Anyone remember Claire La Mouf, the skunk character I used to draw a lot in the furry art archive days? (Heck, remember furry art archives?) I hadn’t drawn Claire in a while. Here she is being, as I hope the kids still say, a mood.
