A good fresh Star Trek take on those fake isekai title jokes

A tumblr screenshot showing a post and two reblog responses, reading:
1. "star trek would be the ideal fictional universe to get trapped in because you'd explain your situation and they'd be like yeah makes sense. no further questions. fortunately we can use the mysterious warp signature emitting from this system's icy moon to counterface with the solar radiation and slingshot you back home"
2. "I'm from a universe where your world is all a work of fiction." Benjamin Sisko, nodding. "That happened to me once."
3. "I Got Isekaid Into The Star Trek Universe And They Quickly Understood What Was Happening"

I miss the country. I know it’s horrible if you need to have a job there but as a visitor, except for some limited racism, it was so much nicer

British rail network, a horrifying cacophony of CUSTOMER SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. SECURITY SERVICES ARE WATCHING YOU. DONT SMOKE. INFO ON A TRAIN YOU ARENT ON 6 PLATFORMS AWAY. VISIT OUR WEBSITE. All through a speaker at volume 11 that’s so old it’s blown out. And a bum asking you for 4 quid.

Man our rail system really is hostile to use. Japanese rail: speakers play gentle birdsong or the sound of bugs chirping. Collect these lovely train stamps. Happy jingles at stations. Orderly queue lines which are exactly where the doors will align…

Someone’s front lawn in front of their house. Someone put out a very good replica of the original enterprise Bridge as a Halloween decoration the difference is all of the characters are skeletons at their stations wearing TOS uniforms.

My default shape has a...cow-_like_ tail, so a Nephi-cow form felt overdue. Anyway, moo, etc.

Nephi, as a cow-girl. She has her slimmer proportions. The kind with ears and a tail, not the kind with a hat and stirrups.

My job consistently hires the kind of autistic numbers driven emotional range of a rock type in supervisory roles. And I say this as an autistic person. Like. Some people should not be put in charge of living things. That’s just not their skill set. And that’s ok.

Me, my fiancé and some friends just did a quad bill of demolition man, starship troopers, terminator 2, and the matrix. Can confirm that whilst I love all these films, being trapped in a greyhound bus seat for about 10 hours is more fun in your head than reality.

110

Pipponprops @pipponprops.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

The TOS movie era and TNG were “my” Star Trek but I do love some of the old TOS episodes once it finds its feet. Also well in the “the remaster is better” camp. The cg is still kinda meh but it’s so much better than when you compare it to some of the old interstitials or matte paintings
