I thought I had a pretty good grasp of where the US Coast Guard generally hung out and I actually didn't think Venezuela was one of those places

Earlier Saturday, two U.S. officials told NBC News that the Coast Guard was in the middle of an ongoing operation off the Venezuelan coast. It was first reported by Reuters.

The Coast Guard took the lead in the operation, both officials said. The U.S. military supported with helicopters that dropped off Coast Guard personnel and observed overhead, one of the officials said.

Raphael Lemkin was a Poland-born Jewish American who coined the term GENOCIDE in his 1944 text where he explicitly states that it does *not* necessarily refer to mass murder but rather any coordinated plan to destroy a society's foundation with the aim to eventually annihilate their people entirely.

One thing I love about being a Red Sox fan is that we love hating even more than winning, and I have the data to prove it! When the Red Sox finally won the World Series after 86 years, people in Mass were nearly 3x as likely to google "Yankees Suck" than "Go Sox" and I think that's beautiful.
