Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I started my first playthrough of the series last month and finished 1 and Chain of Memories thus far while ramping up to start 2 this week! I created a mindmap for lore and stuff too in obsidian that looks like Pepe Silvia levels of insanity haha 000
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I finished it, and the AC writing has always been campy, but the "power of friendship" stuff is a trope I'm a sucker for. The story has issues and the dialogue is a bit weird at times but the gameplay is excellent all the way through. I cannot wait to push it to Ace difficulty and for AC9! 000
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Ace Combat 8 10/10 best soundtrack with a game attached this year. Absolutely peak. I have never been pushed so hard in an Ace Combat before and never felt so many emotions while doing so. I have had to pause and put the game down several times to just catch my breath. 110
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Coster knows how to pick his music and I have not sweat that much playing an #AceCombat mission before, even within this game! Holy shit man, AC8 is incredible. 000
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Also Ifuu and Burai are my goats forever 000
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 04/10/2026The unique levels and bosses for those levels rule, the combat gives you a ton of tools to master, and the animations, my god. Peak facial animations all around. 7 or 8/10, please take 10 hours off the runtime and really tighten the experience up for the next one <3 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 04/10/2026I finished Onimusha today to get it out of the way and go back to Ace Combat. Great game! Definitely WAY too long of a game padded out by a heavy reuse of bosses, and a semi-open world slog. Every unique boss on its own is a great fight, even the ones that get reused! They just do it too much. 110

Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I've beaten a bunch more missions since this and I think I might just end the thread here because it's going to be "This mission rules" over and over again 000
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Mission 18: Peak Ace Combat. Drama, insane objectives, twists. Amazing. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Mission 17: The missions that make me really navigate tight spaces are the ones I like a lot. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Mission 16: Much calmer but makes use of some lesser used mechanics in the game by the playerbase. Loved it! 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Mission 15: Another stressful mission with sick mechanics. This game rules man. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Mission 14: The weightier craft in AC8 really makes itself known here and results in a super fun mission. Loved it. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Mission 13: A solid escort mission with nice music and chill vibes, with a great twist. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Mission 12: I killed an SU while taking off from a runway. Sick mission. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Mission 11: I was already feeling this but I am 100% convinced every time a specific unit appears the mission will be a banger. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Mission 10: Neat little mission. I really liked the models on the ships you're taking down here. Also fun to find them. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Mission 9: I died a few times here until I figured out the proper angles of attack, but it gave me the same feelings as The Liberation of Gracemeria mission from AC6. Good feelings. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Mission 8: I stopped here for the night, but I cannot emphasize enough that I have never been so stressed out, excited, and just overwhelmed in an Ace Combat game before. This is all complimentary. I loved this mission so much I played it twice in a row. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Mission 7: This is definitely a good mission to be a playground for players. What an absolute joy here of being able to really take your aircraft for a spin and cause some havoc. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Mission 6: I don't think I have had a lot of of fun before playing missions like this is previous games in the series or even in other games, but I REALLY enjoyed this one. Had a great time manuvering the battlefield. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Mission 5: Stressed, happy joy, just all the good feelings. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Mission 4: A bit more straightforward of a mission with some surprising additions to the game. I liked it and this is where listening to briefings really benefitted me. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Mission 3: Holy cow the music. Project Aces continues to show they are just perfect at blending gameplay, music, and story together and making it dynamic to really put it into the players hands to control. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Mission 2: Lore-wise this one hit me harder than most. Usea just cant get a break. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Mission 1: A lot of leadup to get to here but a good start, especially getting used to how the planes fly in this game. They are HEAVY but it feels great mastering it. A very good intro here. 100
Ace Combat Pilled PimpyShortstocking @pimpyshortstocking.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I am gonna talk about #AceCombat8 in a thread here just because I am so excited every time I boot this game up. I will go mission by mission and just post how I feel/felt while playing it. If you consider that a spoiler, feel free to mute me! <3 120
