since patreon, subscribestar, and bsky all hate "a drawing of adults having sex but they don't look happy enough, it's banned for being noncon art" i'm begging artists again to post your art to pillowfort because they use a paypro that doesn't pull this shit and their TOS restrictions are minimal:

Since many have removed their discord nitro subscription, maybe support places that actually seem to care more like example: comicfury and pillowfort and such?. Keep smaller profited place alive so we can still thrive on those. Specially places who are nsfw and artist friendly and don’t allow genai

With all thats happening with *gestures vaguely at everything*, its important to have independent platforms like #Pillowfort. Bluesky is doing well, but I've always preferred platforms with more versatility towards long-form blogging.

I've got a Facebook and an Instagram because that's where readers are, but I am not relying on them. Alternatives: Pillowfort is small right now with a delightfully random jumble of a userbase. I suspect many will like their policies on NSFW (allowed, just tag it!) and AI (not allowed).

Pillowfort is small and scrappy! It may not have all the modern features you're used to in a SM site, but it's not owned by anyone who literally goes to the White House to have dinner with Trump, and sickeningly in this day and age that is becoming a rarity.

213447

Pillowfort.social @pillowfort.social · 26/01/2026

I remember being told when Pillowfort was still young that there was "no room" in the social media marketplace for competitors, and since then I've gotten to watch almost every major social media network kneecap itself by either becoming a fascist cesspit or through general enshittification

15510

Pillowfort.social @pillowfort.social · 26/01/2026

I hate to seem like I'm just using this situation to promote my website but like... this is WHY Pillowfort exists. Pillowfort was created in 2017 before so many of the big sites got bought out by fascist billionaires, but it's become much more relevant since then.

There are multiple reports of TikTok censoring anti-ICE content since the site went under new ownership. It has never been more important for independent social media to exist
