This reminded me of the time a Mario 64 run I uploaded got claimed because a random guy sang badly over the end credits song and put it on the copyright system. My channel will never be monetized because, even if I could, I don't want it to be, but it's kinda crazy that it can happen

it goes without saying, but SRC MUST clear up the mess they’ve made here. at present this strongly suggests an attempt to monopolise speedrunning by hindering tools that the community find (and always have found) useful. it’s too early to make strong judgments here, but this does not good for SRC.

Sorry, what I meant to say is Being proud of a project but not sharing the repo suggests a clear awareness — it demonstrates you have no need for external approval. The "it works and I'm happy with it" shows your solution-oriented mindset, and I can only respect that.
