Wild that so far, everything worth watching this season is either a sequel or based on a shojo manga.

Remember when Crunchyroll tried to make their subtitles significantly worse a year ago? They backtracked on it at the time, but I suspected they were just delaying their plans to shift from Aegisub to OOONA, and sadly, it seems I was right: Crunchyroll is actively pushing OOONA subs to users now.

sadie's insane text messages on discord read:

...which is peak by the way
AND THE END CREDITS COME UP, AS USUAL

it's a rock song to be paired with the darkstalkers characters plastered on guitars because it's fucking cool, not terribly deep. cool rock song, cool visuals, all it wanted to be.
BUT EIKICHI YAZAWA DIDN'T WRITE THE SONG on his own

andrew gold helped. (photo credit of the writerz being listed on genius)
and do you know what fucking song he wrote a year before in 1996?

I'm going to MIPCOM, the big content trade show next month, where I will inevitably be approached by a bunch of tech bros offering AI dubbing and subtitling. I will then smile very large, look them in the eye, and say that I would rather shit directly into my own hands and eat it.

That sucks. I heard it was having trouble yesterday and a lot of people got refunded or just sat it out anyways. Mine was only at a theater I didn't like and I ended up passing. Hopefully the BD isn't too far out. Cocoon looks like it has a bigger screening this weekend at least.

So the multi-month delay on the Daima BDs, at least based on a quick check, is down to the translated English credits (at least so far) #1 and #3 are from someone who got the BDs from Amazon right before CR delayed them, #2 and #4 are from the discs that released yesterday.
