There is nothing scientific about The Great ADHD Myth? ‘documentary’ | Gina Rippon
Channel 4’s programme wastes a chance to ask important questions about how ADHD is diagnosed and treated, instead indulging in unscientific methods and conspiracy theories, says author Gina Rippon

This should be a day of shame for my profession. Unfortunately, most of the media is not renowned for self-reflection. It may be relentless in exposing other people's faults (but in most cases only the faults of those who might threaten the status quo). It is much less prepared to confront its own.

Yes, scrutiny of false claims is legitimate media business. But this is about proportion. He wasn't a politician, let alone PM or President. He wasn't running a major corporation. And his sins were tiny by comparison to what some of those people get away with. This was a one-off, page 14 story.

The treatment of Jason Arday was massively out of proportion to his faults. People who have committed terrible crimes have received less scrutiny, yet I don't believe anything he did or said even crossed the threshold of criminality. How many of us would have survived what he was put through? 🧵

Starmer should begin by tackling Farage head-on about Brexit. He should drop his fear of right-wing media and spell out how the only policy Farage ever had, before the small boats, has shrunk Britain’s economy by 4% www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...

I just realised something reading the news this morning. Britain's average per capital income is now at 40 600 euros per year. Which means if they rejoin the E.U they would qualify for development funds. We'd be spending the next 10 years sending money to London to rebuild from the Brexit damage.
