Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 26/07/2026I was expecting to hate Return to Silent Hill given what I knew of the story changes, and in reality I didn’t. It may be that being spoiled helped me to not be angered by the changes and gave me a chance to judge it on its own merits. 100

Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 21/06/2026Good Fortune is the kind of movie that has you thinking for a while that no good ending could be coming, but then it finally takes a turn and leaves you smiling. No big surprise but Keanu is absolutely the highlight of the film. 010

Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 18/10/2025Apparently if I want to sneak around incognito all I have to do is go blonde. Even my phone doesn’t recognize me for Face ID! Dressed as Stevie Nicks for Rougarou Fest 010
Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 13/09/2025Went and saw The Long Walk. I was hoping Mark Hamill would have a bigger part, but the main cast was great and really shine in their roles. I’m too far away from my last read of the novel to nitpick anything, it overall felt very true to the spirit of the book even with the changes they made. 000

Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 02/07/2025Glad to see someone answered my main question. I’m not thrilled, but I get it. 130
Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 18/05/2025Saw a cyber truck leaving the neighborhood with a matte black paint job. Couldn’t help but assume it was either to cover up some graffiti or an attempt to shield themselves from it. 100
Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 15/05/2025So I really thought this week’s Handmaid’s Tale was the finale so when it got to the end I was a little disappointed. Glad I went looking for behind the scenes stuff so I could see it’s not done yet. 000
Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 01/05/2025Listening to people who are not diehards discussing Interview with a Vampire and Bram Stoker’s Dracula “oh yeah, it was Brad Pitt in that movie!” Cracking me up. 000
Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 08/04/2025I’ve been watching Spring Baking Championship and I’m convinced the closed captioning is AI generated. Sometimes the bakers run their words together and it’s picking something that it does sound like they are saying but a human editor would easily be able to tell that wasn’t what they said. 000
Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 30/03/2025Watched A Complete Unknown with Jak. It was hard for him to not notice the inaccuracies but we both enjoyed Chalamet’s performance. It also made me want to go listen to Highway 61 Revisited again so if it does that for enough people it’s an absolute win. 000
Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 09/03/2025Brought J to urgent care Friday for what ended up being a torn tendon in his finger. Apparently left with a free virus. 🤬 Here’s hoping it’s not Covid or the flu. 020

Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 03/03/2025Watched all of the Beatles Anthology and the films with my niece. It was great hearing her laugh at the parts that charmed me from the beginning. The end of the Anthology still brings tears to my eyes. I think part of it is how genuinely sad you can tell Ringo is about their end. 000
Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 26/02/2025Made the decision to take down my old writings from Smashwords, and also couldn’t resist reading the first volume again. It wasn’t as cringe inducing as I expected. The main thought I have is that I really needed to let things breathe more and develop more naturally. 110
Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 19/02/2025Got tickets to see Billy Joel in October! Been a fan for most of my life so this is a big one for me. Pretty sure it’ll be my first concert in the Superdome too. 010
Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 23/01/2025Shoveling snow really sucks, especially when you have to use a standard shovel and a rake to do it. But at least our sidewalks and driveway are clear now. 000
Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 21/01/2025A very rare notification for S Louisiana! They are predicting 4-7 inches for us today. Super excited to see it, though also a little worried about losing power because our infrastructure just isn’t used to this. Fingers crossed this is just a fun day of snowfall for us. 000

Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 02/01/2025Me: This season of Squid Game isn’t connecting with me as much. Fifteen minutes later I’m crying over a minor character death. I can admit when I’m wrong. 000
Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 01/01/2025My theme for this year is Natural. I chose it as one with multiple meanings, as I’m going to try to eat better, be more true to myself, and could use a reminder that you just have to let things happen in their own time and not try to force things or get upset if change isn’t happening fast enough. 110
Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 01/01/2025Just watched Jak play, and the 80s new wave cover band is setting up to take us into midnight. Not a bad way to start 2025. The outside world isn’t looking hopeful but I am hopeful my personal world will improve. 030
Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 15/12/2024So in all fairness I don’t think there was going to be any topping the original’s “Day-O” scene, but Beetlejuice Beetlejuice certainly made a choice there. Not quite sure how I feel about it. Overall, it’s a fun movie but the story is a bit more of a mess than the original was. 010

Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 10/11/2024Watched Asteroid City tonight and found it very charming. It’s funny to me how I started off hating Wes Anderson’s style and have now come to love it. He’s changed a bit but clearly I have too. 010
Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 06/11/2024Like so many others, I’m just trying to focus on taking care of myself and those I love right now. Will probably try to lose myself for a bit in fiction and creative pursuits. 010
Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 05/11/2024Woke up at 5 in order to line up to vote shortly before the polls opened at 6 and was done in 10 minutes! I also took off tomorrow morning because I know I won’t be able to just go to bed without knowing as much of the results as I can tonight. 100

Angelle Tusa @phoenixanew.bsky.social · 24/10/2024I still have lots of streaming shows to catch up on from vacation but I’m watching the first episode of The Stand mini series instead. The 4K blu ray looks pretty darn good. 100
