#Devon #Dartmoor friends: The next Celebrating the Earth event in Chagford is coming up soon. The theme this time is peace...and what could be more timely? I look forward to joining with friends & neighbours to think about how we can all live a little more peacefully on this wild & beautiful earth.
Image: A poster with art by Virginia Lee, depicting a Dartmoor tree woman scattering leaves over another female figure formed from the soil and grasses of the Dartmoor hills. This scattering of leaves has the feeling of a blessing. The poster text says: Celebrating the Earth presents THE NATURE OF PEACE, an evening of chants, reflection, and meditation on peace and place, with Chagford's Taizé community. When: Tuesday, 16 June, 2026, 5:30 - 6:30 pm. Where: St Michael's church in Chagford, a small rural market town on Dartmoor (Devon, UK).

Ah I’ve googled Kings mead - it sounds fab but I can’t get there unfortunately- do you know if Hoopoes have been seen anywhere else in the county?

Wow - where did you see the Hoopoe - I’d love to see one. I’m on the grand Union canal in Herts and can only really get walking distance from the canal 🙄 - but I’d walk quite a long way for a hoopoe 😂
