Generative AI is, perhaps inevitably, beginning to feature in some submissions to the journal. For the sake of transparency, and in fairness to all, we now require submissions to include a mandatory declaration of its use (or non-use). www.tandfonline.com/action/autho...

Mandatory AI Declaration
Research on Language and Social Interaction generally deprecates the use of generative AI in submissions.

If generative AI has been used, authors must provide a Declaration, detailing the scope and extent of the AI usage. In some cases, the editors may return the submission and require three copies of the submission to be provided:

A copy before any generative AI was introduced into the text
A copy showing, and marking, generative AI-produced text
A fair copy to be considered for review
If no generative AI has been used, The Declaration should read “No generative AI has been used in the preparation or writing of this article”.
