#xivwomenweek day 5 - Amid flora and crystals 🌷💠

an illustration of ryne and gaia. In the foreground, the two of them are sitting in the middle of a field of pink flowers, with the crystal tower visible behind a hill covered in flowers, while a close-up of their portraits, eyes closed, fills the background. Ryne's expression and position echo my earlier minfilia entry as well !!

There's something really enjoyable about rearranging my pokemon card binder and having a page of certain pokemon or certain lines. Like I have two pages of Mareep, Flaaffy and Amprahos cards. And a page of just Xerneas cards. It makes me happy - and its nice to look at. Card art is so pretty~ :)

Just going to share this real quick for #FFXIVWrite in case it helps anyone 💜 Can't believe it's almost time!! Big hype!

an image with tips and tricks for ffxivwrite - points are; - Set your work folder up ahead of time

(in Ellipsus, Scrivener etc.)

- You can pick your prompt-focus ahead of time too

(ie: it might be an idea to alternate between WoL and

Azem for prompt fills!)

- Remember that the goal is to write, that doesn't have

to be perfect and edited! You can be messy!

- It's okay to skip days!

- It's also okay to jump back into it the next day or halfway

through the month!

- Don't stare at a blank page waiting for that magical opening

line, just start writing and trust yourself

- There is no wordcount, even a haiku will do!

- If reward systems or challenges help motivate you, go for it!

- Submitting your fill is *optional*

- The daily deadline (once in effect) is *optional*

- There is no such thing as "doing it wrong"

- This is a great event for experimenting with What Ifs

and AUs

- You don't have to write a full story each time, a single

moment or scene will do!

- If you wanted, each fill could be your OCs or a NPCs dream!

Anything goes!

- Be kind, patient, and forgiving of yourself!

- Hydrate and stretch

- Remember that you are *awesome* and you can do this!

Tural is so much more interesting to me than Alexandria. I loved Tural - and was so eager to learn more about it. The culture was fascinating of Tulliyolal and the other locations we visited, and the people we met. Once we got to Alexandria, I checked out.

Literally the third song on Dawntrail’s soundtrack (the first one that’s not the trailer or title screen song) is called “Taco Delight.” Dude, can we like… actually do a little more with Tural than reducing them to tacos when they’re not being shoved aside in favor of Alexandria?

I found the culture and world building of Tural itself fascinating and I loved the areas we went to pre-Alexandria. And there were a few moments that hit hard - like seeing the empty urns at the bottom of Skydeep Cenote.

I really wish I didn't feel so awkward creating nsfw/spicy gpose of Thancred and Phaedra. Or commissioning nsfw pieces from people. idk. Being raised in a home that never, ever talked about sex and it was seen as this kind of taboo subject really has a long lasting impact. Its a lot to unpack.
