Oh no 😭 This new book has a different audiobook narratorrrr 😭. The other five books all had the same one. This is like when they publish later books in a series in a different size or with a new type of paper and they don’t match. This is tragic 😩 I want the other lady back.

A book I had preordered came out today, and I’m pretty sure the notification of its delivery woke me up at one this morning, so I started it then, and read on and off all day and I just finished it. It was pretty good I think. The series can continue to be part of my evening wind down routine.

Another thing I keep forgetting to post is this lovely rainbow from a few days ago. It was really clear and you could really make out all the separate colors. It was pretty mesmerizing.

I just read this and realized that Dolly is the only famous/rich person example I can think of of my “empathy tax” theory—that everyday people especially in frontline professions like teachers pay a “tax” for being empathetic because they are face to face with so much need and they can’t ignore it.
