Managed to finally get hold of a personal unicorn machine! Been after one for a very long time! This is my Indata DAI. An incredibly rare beast from 1980. A monster spec that was reflected in the cost at the time. Lovely. ZX80 for scale 😁 (didn't have a banana)

The start of a big adventure! This lovable little Spectrum has embarked on a trip around the world where it will visit many retro and vintage tech people along the way. Started off by @2600.me who handed it to me, it's visited the @retrocollective.co.uk and is now in the safe hands of YARC Todd.

Getting things ready to take to Retrofest. Less than a week to go! Yikes!!

A stack of MITS Altair computers. At the bottom, an 8800b. Above that, an original 8800 and on the top, the small 680b.

There’s a real thrill in seeing this for the first time, I got it when I made the Atari 2600 / GameBoy cart and Speccy tape and have it again with the Master System cart. This isn’t the final cart, it won’t fit in a case (or properly in the SMS) with a chip holder #IndieDev #RetroDev #RetroGaming

A Sega Master System II console with a green circuit board labeled "JURL" placed on top. The console features a pause button and is surrounded by tangled cables.

A Sega Master System II console is prominently displayed in the foreground, with a TV screen in the background showing a game menu titled "JURL." The scene is cluttered with various cables and accessories, creating a retro gaming setup atmosphere.

A computer monitor displays a retro video game with blue diamonds arranged in columns and an orange meteor. The score is shown as 0000420.

Only a few weeks to go to RetroFest 2025 in STEAM at Swindon Works, 31st May - 1st June! Have YOU got your ticket yet? Come and see the weird and wonderful including this monstrous CPT8520. Come and type! Word process! Enter words on the monster keyboard like it’s 1982! Tell your friends 😄

A computer screen with ascii ‘graphics’ spelling “retrofest 2025” in a computer typeface.

A huge and extremely heavy CPT8520 word processor from 1982. This is the machine I’ve been restoring since Xmas last year. It weighs a bloody ton.

This ZX81 inside a Dk'tronics type 1 case belongs to my friend Paul Universal Retro Boss. Bought as part of a bundle of stuff and soon will be up for sale again. I've verified it's working, but the RF output is very weak. So he's asked me to composite mod it.
