Party In The Front - Comms Closed @partyinthefront.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Hey everyone! So, I've had my commissions closed for a long time, and life has been bumpy, but I think I may have some time to open 1-2 cover slots, depending on volume and deadline, starting soon. Wouldn't mind some fantasy/ttrpg work. Some samples:

Started as a little study and became another one of the 'Secret Society of Unpractical Headpieces in Space' series (that still does not exist) 🪐

Illustration by Eleonor Piteira showing a black woman with an elaborate golden headpiece. Her hair is curly and long, she's wearing a dress, and gold and blue make up on her eyes. She is framed by a circle and behind her there is a space view with a star and small planets.

I had the utmost pleasure of painting the cover illustration of @marianavcoelho.bsky.social 's debut novel 'Truthteller' for Transworld/Penguin Random House UK! ⚖️ Out March 2027!

Cover illustration by Eleonor Piteira for the book 'Truthteller' by Mariana V. Coelho, featuring a woman with a golden headpiece that covers her eyes and fans out behind her head like rays. She is wearing a red and elaborate outfit with multiple layers and gold embroidery with gemstones. She is holding a scale in each of her hands, while the scales' chains wrap around her hands and forearms and go up towards the sky. Some of the chains are breaking, one of the scales is tipping down and gold liquid is running down.

Here is the starry cover illustration that I had the pleasure of painting for the upcoming GUTTERWITCH by Esmie Jikiemi-Pearson, for Penguin Random House US 🌟 Out March, 2027!

Cover illustration painted by Eleonor Piteira for the book 'Gutterwitch' by Esmie Jikiemi-Pearson, showing a black young woman with curly hair on a long braid, half holding and half hiding the strong glow from a star. The woman is dressed all in black or very dark clothes, including black gloves, and a cape that becomes the sky and clouds behind the pale buildings of an academy. Swirly branches filled with thorns are all around the buildings while some seagulls fly above it. Behind her, a dark night sky glitters with stars.

I haven't done a #portfolioday post in ages so here's one, just to show some newer work! I'm Eleonor, illustrator from Portugal, and these days I work mostly on book covers, interiors, and some MtG art every now and then :) 🏺 eleonorpiteira.squarespace.com

Time's End, an illustration by Eleonor Piteira of a statue of a woman reaching up with light emanating from her hand. On the background there are ruins of a building with plants growing amidst the remnants of a broken stained glass window framing a sky filled with stars.

Cover illustration by Eleonor Piteira for Astarion, a Baldur's Gate 3 novel, by T. Kingfisher, featuring a white haired man in rich black and red clothes, raising a golden goblet on his hand that overflowing with blood and dripping down. On his other hand he is holding a dagger. The background is red with dark circular markings seemingly dripping down.

Illustration by Eleonor Piteira of Glorfindel, a character from The Lord of The Rings. A male golden haired elf with gold armour and a long dark blue cape behind him floating in the wind, sits on top of a white horse. Framing his head is a stylised sun with rays, the symbol of the House of the Golden Flower. The elf and the horse are framed within a gold circle adorned with plant-like ornaments which include celandine flowers.

Burst Lightning, illustrated by Eleonor Piteira for the Magic: The Gathering set 'Secrets of Strixhaven', showing a red background with many jagged shapes all coming from a dark silhouette of an elf being struck by a lightning bolt.

Horizontal illustration painted by Eleonor Piteira called 'In Artur Hawkwing’s Hand' for Dragonsteel Books' edition of 'The Eye of The World' by Robert Jordan, from 'The Wheel of Time' series, showing a night scene with Perrin and Egwene (and a mare called Bela) crouching next to a giant statue of a hand and hiding from soldiers walking on the other side of the statue with torches, looking for them. On the background, on top of some giant boulders we can see a group of wolves, one of them has a circle of dots around his head as does Perrin, hinting at a connection between the two.

Celeste dos Cravos An illustration commemorating the Carnation Revolution that took place in Portugal on the 25th of April of 1974, and the woman, Celeste Caeiro, who gave the revolution its name with a simple gesture :) 25 de Abril Sempre, Fascismo nunca mais! ✊

A woman on a balcony, holding a bouquet of red carnations, gives one of them to a soldier passing below, placing it on the muzzle of his gun while he looks up at her. All round, other soldiers walk beside him, some wearing red carnations on the muzzles of his guns too, others waiting for their turn. On the background, Portuguese tiles frame the woman, while the balcony's railing slowly transforms into a streetlamp typical of Lisbon (with a caravel and 2 ravens, the symbols of the city).
