August was the hottest month in global history and yet, NSW has just approved the biggest coal mine expansion ever proposed in the state. It is scandalous that Australia is leading negotiations at global climate talks, including in the Pacific next week.

I support the current arrangement where the federal leader of the Greens is chosen by the party room. The primary job of the leader is to collaboratively lead Greens parliamentary reps. Those reps need to have confidence in the leader and are best placed to choose the best leader. #auspol

The annual cost of servicing the stadium debt will see the Tasmanian Government withdrawing about $100M pa of expenditure into the Tasmanian economy. That will shrink the state’s economy.

Actually, I think most voters simply go by the vibe they feel from parties. But if they get into power, parties need to make policy decisions.
100
Peter Croger @petercroger.bsky.social · 21/06/2026
Once you get elected, you have to decide how you are going to vote on legislation etc. That’s pretty much deciding on what your policy is. And at the next election, voters will know what you decided.
100
Peter Croger @petercroger.bsky.social · 21/06/2026
I think that to get elected, parties have to claim that things are bad and the people are suffering, and then have to mount a credible case for why they are the mob that is best placed to fix things.
