🚨🚨🚨Every candidate taking money from Trump & Musk MUST be asked what they now owe them. Specifically, more no-bid government contracts, deregulation, protection from prosecution for Musk? Blind obedience, permissive personal enrichment & corruption, and protection from prosecution for Trump?

Trump sacrificed security in order to be able to fly around in a symbol of his corruption. www.nytimes.com/2026/07/08/u...
Mr. Hunter would not name the more complicated security upgrades individually because they are considered classified. But other government officials have told The New York Times that this more complex work includes advanced missile defense systems and hardening of the plane’s wiring to protect it from an electromagnetic pulse, in case there is a nuclear strike. It is unclear whether such work was done to the Qatari jet.

“In that time they had, they would be able to accommodate communications upgrades,” Mr. Hunter said, referring to vital security equipment that allows a president to be in contact at all times. “But not anything that would require significant structural work.”

Mr. Hunter added: “To do a full Air Force One equivalent upgrade does require structural modifications.”

@blumenthal.senate.gov The next time you plan to ask any one of these incompetent unqualified nominees the question "Was the Capitol attacked on J6?", show the video including the analysis that shows a military-style coordination, THEN ask them if that was an attack on the Capitol. Weak sauce.

Trump does not think strategically, historically, geographically, or even rationally. He does not connect actions he takes on one day to events that occur weeks later. Allied leaders know that if they help him in the Gulf, he won't be grateful, or even remember www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

Went back to the history of the Sicilian Mafia to illustrate something obvious but worth stating explicitly: The Trump administration behaves like an organized crime syndicate running a protection racket, not a representative government www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2025/1...
Elections in democracies determine who administers the government; they do not alter whom the government is for. Under any administration, Republican or Democratic, the United States government exists to serve the people of the United States, regardless of their partisan affiliation. Besides, Americans are not as easily divided as Trump might think. Millions of Republican voters live in New York, just as millions of Democrats live in Texas. He cannot tell whom he is punishing by glancing at an electoral map. But even if he could, Trump’s acts of extortion have no place in a democracy. They belong in a protection racket: If you support Trump, you are protected; if you do not, you are vulnerable. If you donate enough cash to Trump, you may receive favorable treatment, including immunity from the law. If you oppose Trump, you may be prosecuted. This is not how a representative government works. It is how the Mafia works.

For 26 but especially 2028 it's time for Democrats to make clear that the current Supreme Court will have to be reformed (expanded in number, reformed in structure) to allow popular govt to continue in the United States. Not so much a litmus test as precondition for any other promise to be credible.
