Rest in peace Edgar Martin. A great announcer and such a character.

...a wonderful piece of BBC history lives again. This unit was last used on-air in 2012 for DSO! (2/3)

If you're seeing this it isn't a photo of Streeting and Mandleson, they both want you to know this is Mandleson out with his Stookie Bill doll. 😆 You wouldn't want to spread it further in case poor little Wes gets upset.

A privilege to say goodbye tonight to a broadcasting legend. I've been listening to David Olver on TV since the age of 4... I could only dream of one day being his colleague. The past 25 years have been a pleasure. After 47 years of being in people's homes he deserves the best of retirements.

As it's his last #MOTD I thought I'd share this #GaryLineker behind the scenes moment from around 20 years ago. Just before he recorded the trail for the programme, he decided to have a bit of #BBCONE logo fun.

Despite my best efforts, not watching where I was going, @matt.cymru didn't run me over on Monday. Thank you.

I was privileged to be trusted with the brand refresh of BBC Parliament, as part of its move to Belfast presentation/playout. A long journey for all involved.

Watching my recordings of #Eldorado it's all very confusing. U&DRAMA have been playing the continuity announcements 1 episode behind. I've recently thought that they were also playing the episodes in the wrong order too.

Why is the ratio of pâté to bread always akin to CinemaScope? 2.35 pâté to 1 bread.

ITV of my childhood seemed to specialise in melancholic-rock theme tunes. This one always made me feel unsettled.
