The four-by-seven metre flag artwork was sewn and glued by a small team led by Claire, who usually works with vintage fabrics Signatures on the art piece include a descendant of Industrial Revolution pioneer James Watt, as well as members of Birmingham reggae bands Steel Pulse & UB40 #ReunionJack🇬🇧

I reported a leaking street water shut-off valve at the bottom of my mum’s garden to Thames Water well over a month ago. Still not fixed. Just been to investigate and worked out that in that time, it has leaked 1,500,000 litres of mains water into the ground.

Starting to realise I might have a problem. To be fair, this bay of SSL4000 isn’t actually mine, I just rescued it for a friend after his wife told him she wanted him to THROW IT IN A SKIP!

This one is safely enclosed in its flightcase in the hallway, but if anyone would like to make me an offer on it… Yamaha CL5. Beautiful as new condition, but I can’t take it with me, so… 😢

Aww. One day I’ll have a control room big enough for you. But for now I have less space than ever, so it’s back to storage 😕. Audient Zen. Amazing, short-lived product. Fader automation, but no EQ = limited audience, and I imagine it was too expensive to keep manufacturing it. But sounds so good.

It would help if our government would wake up and acknowledge that it’s a problem NOW, not a problem that needs to be tackled at some nebulous point in the future. It needed addressing a decade ago, but of course Tories weren’t going to call it out - Brexit wouldn’t have suceeded without it.

Here’s a hot take, if not a popular one: Ant-Man and the Wasp is a good movie; an action-comedy in the grand tradition of action-comedies. Light viewing with a charismatic lead, some family drama, solid action, a bit of peril, a romance, and packed with visual gags and one-liners. Totally works.

I wish I was working on a new-build house instead of fighting to fix up an old one. Especially an old one I have no intention of staying in. Weird situation where I like this job, but I can’t wait for it to be over. If anyone says “They don’t make them like they used to” they can get in the bin.

Imagine if someone had told you even five years ago that there would be a site devoted to misinformation, racist propaganda, riling up mobs and generating pornographic content from photos of children and, not only was it allowed, it was the government's preferred platform to communicate from.

This is going to be a huge November for Blu-ray thanks to the Criterion Collection. I knew The Right Stuff was finally coming to 4K, not sure I realised it was coming from Criterion though. And at last, a new transfer and restoration of Wild At Heart. All three are must-buys for me.

“80% of success is just showing up.” By that measure, Nigel Farage is an utter failure. For two years he’s almost never showed up in Clacton, or bothered to vote in the House Of Commons. Now he’s not even showing up for the result of the by-election he forced on his own constituency. Such a loser.

I’ve downsized my mix situation fairly dramatically to suit my temporary living situation, and you know what? Now I’ve got into it, it’s enough to get work done. One more big screen plus my Amphions and I’d be 99% happy (for stereo anyway). The M4 MacBook Pro copes SO well, maybe a Mac Mini is next?
Scaled-down in-the-box mix system. M4 Pro MacBook Pro, Euphonix MC Control, extra monitor, a Bryston and some Dynaudios… This is ok. 👍

I’ve suddenly come up with a wild theory concerning Doctor Doom in the MCU, and how this could be the most devious bait-and-switch by Marvel. I’m not going to explain my idea in case I’m either a) right, so it spoils it for everyone or b) I’m completely wrong so I’ll look like an idiot...

And here’s two pictures that will mean absolutely nothing to (almost) anyone - behind this hoarding is the remains of South London’s greatest small live music venue, The Cartoon. It’s 20 years this year since it closed. Weirdly the crumbling facade is still just about visible thru the weeds.
