As 2025 draws to a close, I am happy to share two papers on the #UNFCCC climate change negotiations. In the 1st one, #open_access in Nature Scientific Data, we present an algorithm to retrieve data on parties’ participation and bargaining interactions in the negotiations, drawing from @enb.iisd.org.

How can we assess the implementation gap existing between climate change #mitigation pledges under the #ParisAgreement and national policy-making? In our just published Climate Policy article, we use a public policy approach to develop two Vertical Policy Harmonization indices that do just that.
