Opening on the EXACT SAME DATE as the company is set to get its first real piece of open public feedback? Incredible coincidence. All they have to do is make it a long-term lease and they can argue they're also bringing benefits to the downtown. What Council could say no to that?
A portion of the submission reading "A community information centre opening October 14 at 2505 11th Ave, Regina, where residents can see site renderings and drone footage, get the facts on water, noise and other common concerns, pick up the community brochure, and give feedback."

"Chosen" is important. Remember that the first phase, pre-expansion, required no environmental assessment because the province allows businesses to self-assess on environmental impacts, to a point. Guess Bell cares more about the optics of environmental impacts than the provincial government does?
A portion of the Council submission reading "Ecosystems: Bell has chosen to bring the expansion into the Province's environmental assessment process."

As the kids say, "lol."
A portion of the council document reading, "In April, Bell made commitments to the RM of Sherwood on roads, drainage and community engagement. Every one has been honoured." The words "community engagement" have been highlighted in yellow, a measure of hopefully clear derision on the part of the poster.

Almost 40 years ago. What a world we could have if there were more Bill Watterson’s among us.
A ‘Calvin and Hobbes’ comic strip from 1988 that implies adults will not fix the world for future generations.

I just saw the STUPIDEST AI bumper on TSN’s Rider game broadcast. Players with cartoonish grins fishing off a dock, playing banjos in a rocking chair on a front porch, etc. If I was a player I would be pissed. Surely their CBA wouldn’t allow such a thing?!?

I love my family, even as they troll my with a Shrek.
A fridge magnet with Shrek on it that reads “get ogre yourself.” This exists entirely because my family knows I hate Shrek.

Blazed through this, as I knew I would. What a pile of absolute scumfucks that propagate this industry. Anyone who even thinks about messing around with AI or using it regularly: read something. This book is great, but you could also try…

I’m currently loving ‘Partially Devoured’ and VERY curious how much time elapsed between @danielkraus.com writing this bit and finding out he won the Pulitzer.

I mean, where would I be as a Ward 2 resident if I didn’t have this insightful social content from my elected representative? The “old ways” are better? Surely that can’t have any other more insidious implications.

He posted this morning about his AI “research” on the #yqrcc Brandt deal. Why would an elected official rely on a two second prompt when they have an entire administration at their disposal? Is it laziness, apathy, distrust, or a combination thereof?

George Tsiklis won’t respond to questions or comments on one of the most consequential, existential agenda items of his #yqrcc term, even though he has a planned public meet and greet event before the vote! He’s also assisting with petitions for both sides of the deal. What bold leadership!

The Saskatchewan government's policy positions seem to be roughly as nuanced as Donald Trump's "Nothing bad can happen, it can only good happen." I wonder how rural constituents, the bloc that keeps this party in power, feel about being so thoroughly condescended to. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
Screen grab from CBC article reading: '"Gun grab, that's bad. Selling canola, that's good. Saving gophers, not so good. Selling uranium, that's good," Moe said.'
