Reposting my #9games since it's going around again. I could make dozens of lists but that was what I was feeling at the time. Some of my favorite games/series aren't even represented on here, but I also feel like all of the ones here had a large impact on me. Might be fun to do some by platform.

I don’t understand the argument for cost-savings with AI-gen menus. Food is literally something you can photograph, it costs you nothing to do, and presumably you are making the food anyways because you sell it?

We optimized draw calls by 99% (lol) in Hidden Folks 2 by writing some tools to find all textures used in a level, generate a level-specific atlas, and replace individual texture references with atlas textures. Thread below 🧵👇🏼 #godotengine
Two side-by-side screenshots showing before and after we applied a texture atlas optimization to our game Hidden Folks two, the before showing 13318 draw calls and the after showing 113 draw calls

I wish there was an easy built-in way to track GitHub release analytics because I sometimes have huge surges from out of nowhere and have no clue where or how my CLI is being used outside of people messaging me on socials or issues.

Kicking the tires of BitWarden and I think it's pretty solid but has a few quirks. I still appreciate that you can just swap servers and self-host if you want to without too much effort.
