Years ago I wrote this piece about national treasure and dreadful old c**t Peter Blake. Have just dredged it up for my new best friend @typetheclouds.bsky.social who had the good sense to buy my fucking book™ at the Hastings book fair. www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/amp/entry/ja...

I've gone and done a thing! I'm stoked to share that I've entered Sky Arts Landscape Artist Of The Year 2026. Do pop on over to Instagram where I give a bit more info' : www.instagram.com/p/DLIHyeQtH1F/ 🎥🖼️🎨
Andy is sat in front of a lake, trees and hills. He's sat on a high stool in front of a large easel and a blank panel. A high side table has unpacked art materials on. The weather is stunning, with bright sun, clear blue skies.

Under Andy is a white panel with the words," Sky Arts Landscape Artist Of The Year."

I really don’t know what’s happening, but another day in the studio and another painting this morning. This is ‘Not snow II’, watercolour, 38x42cms #art #artist #watercolour
Watercolour painting looking through a woodland to a green distance in spring light. Blue shadows dance diagonally across the woodland floor which I’ve left as white paper to represent the sunlight.

Patricia’s work is all about contrasts—breaking lines, breaking free, and embracing a world beyond constraints. Her sculptures don’t just sit in a space; they shape it, creating a dialogue between form, colour, and emotion.

🧵I have posted this recently, but it’s so so important Top tips Buy what you like, not for investment. You have to live with it. I guarantee you’ll look at it every day. And who knows, it could be a good investment in the future. Start small. Small paintings, sculptures and original prints ➡️

With these pieces I was inspired by the movement of dancers, which is transient - compelling and moving (in both senses) - then lost in time. I felt it my task to capture that memory my eyes retained not in a representational way but purely emotionally through the medium of my hands and clay.
