3 totally finished! I’m not going to touch these ever again until they’re packed and shipped. A sculptor came to my studio a couple of months ago, said I was doing too much, let go #sculpture #sculptor #pentelicmarble #stonecarving #artekunstart @artekunstartgr.bsky.social #metaxourgeio #athens

This morning I made a 5m workbench This afternoon I filled it up with my crap. I’m either making too much art or not selling enough, or both. All I seem to be doing at the moment is tidying, building, tidying, making a mess and my brain is being boiled to a thick chowder. Fook it’s hot 🥵

🧵Back in Bolton running neo studios & gallery I had the luxury of skip diving at The Market Place Shopping Centre. You’d be amazed what businesses, especially chains throw out. I’ve been begging, hoarding, collecting, been donated lots of materials, tools, furniture, plants, pots here at AKA. ➡️

Best relevant advice I ever had in pursuit of an artistic career was from Critical Theory tutor Ruth Davis whilst at @boltonuni “There’s no such thing as talent, people have an aptitude to do things. If you want to be an artist from this point onwards, it’s f**king hard work” #WorkEthic

🧵What is being in the zone? How do you explain a full day of creativity when you’ve been in the zone? If you’re conscious of an act of creation, do you risk it looking contrived? How much of a role does your subconscious play in your process of making art? ➡️➡️➡️

The visual language transcends any other language. In fact, it’s used as a means of communicating different languages, hard hitting statements and a whole story in one image. #EnoughSaid #Artist #VisualArtist #VisualArt

🧵Printed this on a t-shirt back in 2016 for art meetings. I ran artist studios back then (over 100 artists) & lost count the amount of times I was contacted by hairdressers, tattooists, cafes, bars, restaurants, businesses who said our community of artists could put artworks in their premises. ➡️
