"Generativ" funktioniert wie "kreativ". Nicht nur ein Beethoven kann kreativ sein, aber ein auch Terrorist. Natürlich kann man " kreativ" und "generativ" strenger anweden, aber das ist eher stipulativ

"Generativ" beschreibt ein Verfahren, nicht ein Output. Alle LLMs, diffusion models, etc., sind generativ

Remember the old joke that maths is cheap because it requires only paper, pen and a bin, and philosophy even cheaper because it doesn't even need the bin? The biggest problem with doing philosophy with AI is that it will even rob us of the beauty of that joke...

Resentment toward natural winemakers who break through internationally is real. Slovenia's are among the world's best — and now their conventional counterparts are coming for them. Support them by signing this petition: www.change.org/p/a-petition...

If Nolan's next movie is not an adaptation of Louis Aragon's Les Aventures de Télémaque, we'll know for sure his project was lacking intellectual ambition.

I watched some guy's first film yesterday and his newest film today. The first was very, very cheap and very good. The second was very, very expensive and not that good. I am sure there's some ancient Greek moral to all of this 👁️‍🗨️

Congrats, this is really nice! Lots of work on finding good literature as well, thanks! I've been trying for a while to write a paper on this from the angle of the philosophy of creativity and the notion of cultivating a creative practice. Also, bonus points for mentioning "Le Ranz des Vaches"!

My book is now out! www.routledge.com/A-Philosophy... It's about wine—but also about much more! It introduces a special kind of artifacts, naturefactual ones, which are artifactual vehicles for the appreciation of nature. Natural wine is offered as a paradigm case. 🧵

I just read two of the big classics of Balkan literature lately, The Bridge On the Drina by Ivo Andrić and Alamut by Vladimir Bartol, and, unsurprinsingly, these might well be two of the most insightful novels to shed some light on our present times

The main problem with this piece is that it is totally self-serving. Everything said there has already been said, and much better said, in the 80's and 90's by the likes of K. Mulligan and M. Nussbaum. Which points to one of "analytic" phil's own flaw: reinventing the wheel and being proud of it
