Current status: thinking about artificial intelligence as "value heterotrophs" to human embodied experience. Kinda like how animals are heterotrophs for the energy fixed by plants in photosynthesis. So metaphorically, #deliberation is like the electron transport chain process :)

I'm feeling a strange lack of "community" in this graph... I'd call it "friends", but it feels like a slightly different class in subtle quality... Like being friends with a collective, and that collective regularly swaps people in and out, at a faster rate than traditional friend group churn...

I have been lucky to speak with ppl of very different perceptual experience lately, ppl who have more "noise" in their personal experience (e.g. voices, etc) that leads to social punishment that isolates them, but they still have internal wisdom to sense and share (in the proper format) 🙏🏻

From being in circles with Nico and Yuting, I read these messages as being about peer support/alignment on what's in the commons between the building. I am not a traditional collaborator myself, and I recognise that they don't act like a normal "company" hawking wares.

I brought this up to @jay.bsky.team in Vancouver as well. While Bluesky can be read as a generic, public platform without community boundaries, it also has subsets of community that can be targeted for specific conversations. Instead of NDAs and Google Meets, you could gate a pol.is by DID.

Nice! Any particular areas of focus or optimism? I liked the salsa point. I think Afro-Brazilian drumming (samba, maracatu, etc) is similar in some cities like Toronto -- ppl join the big messy anarchic ones then hive off as they take it more seriously, like a flywheel. Lots of cross-cultural travel
