Something to be celebrated for sure!!

Evening, it's a decent quality French blend for me, beers in the fridge are for the band turning up in a few days! 💛

Yep, a must do weekender! Been the past several years now!

I hadn't heard of them either, they were an opener for another band but my gosh, really good! Awaiting an album release, but they have some singles.

Scoreboard are an utterly wonderful dream pop/anthemic shoegaze band from Oslo, Norway, that I had the pleasure of seeing earlier in the year. So pleased they've now pulled together this mini UK tour, highly recommend attending one of these gigs... scoreboardmusic.bandcamp.com/track/rush-s...

I understand, times are hard for indie venues, but it's the first time I've received an email listing all the things I CAN'T do in their venue (sent to ticket holders). I think their heart is in the right place, but receiving a scolding email before I've even attended the gig is a jolt...

Can't like this at all, I call this "performative coughing" and I run into it in public spaces like the bus etc., the exaggerated "I don't give a *&$£ about you but going to display my illness" cough. Is it narcissism, I wonder?

My new mini album Growing Towards The Light is now available across streaming services. Whilst this is a self-release, I’d like to thank @yyzrecords.bsky.social for their continued support and encouragement, and @seaofdays.bsky.social for title inspiration.

Bit sad I can't see that Dash The Henge gig, it's a fun place and I recommend!

NP: advance tracks from their latest, which you can find on Bandcamp. I'm always so taken how they blend electronica, alt Americana, just plain songwriting craft. A very unique sound.

Some I've heard, a lot I haven't! Commute listening here...

Pretty psyched about the new Helen album, loved the last one. It always tickles me when a band gets (sometimes) compared to Black Tambourine. Unless they're mean about it, ha ha. grouper.bandcamp.com/album/lindas...

Time and time again, Public Enemy comes up as an influence across all my music connections, from all genres... 100% I have a clear memory of playing It Takes A Nation on my radio program in the 80s, and those raps like clear hot preaching from the wilderness, shivers even now thinking of it. 🙏

Really sorry. There's definitely something going around, so many people in my circle unwell...

Andrea @parramaterial.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Not excusing the behaviour BTW just annoyed at this ragebait coverage of a technical case.

Andrea @parramaterial.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

It appears the candidate was not compliant in respecting other's protected characteristics (lgbtqi+ clients) in another job, additionally his references weren't in order. Was it a technicality he won his other case? Poorly written piece! It's a very technical case that went to appeal.

NP: the new Penelope Isles, it opens on an utterly beautiful lo fi quiet note, quickly moves onto a stomping grungy note, then back to a nostalgia tinged quiet contemplation. Wonderful album! penelopeisles.bandcamp.com/album/3
