It's hard to describe how alarming being partially faceblind is. I went to a work-adjacent networking event tonight where I recognised just one person I knew was going to be there. The rest emerged as if out of a fog as they introduced themselves, I read their name badges or they gave me context.

The Substance was a lot of fun. Old school Cronenburg/Carpenter style body horror satire, ramping up the gore with "approximately 21,000 litres of theatrical blood." Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley totally nailed the brief. Also the most bare bums per minute you'll likely see in a regular film.
