Current US admin. tries to force EU open its markets for US tech based its military might. A kind of "opium war" this time for mental "opium", like social media and uncontrolled AI.

The gravest risk for Europe is that past convergence with the US was based on exports to US (and China). Post covid lower growth rate explained by fiscal restrain. EU needs its own growth regime.

Erik did not mention the important fact that Germans work much less houts. On the basis of hours worked German GDD is similar to that of US.

When you need to justify a mystery (the value of cryptocurrencies), you refer to something else that you do not understand (blockchain). That sentence keeps appearing in article after article without any explanation of why this technology is needed for anything related to payments.

Happy 99th birthday to the man who gave voice to the wild. 🎉 Sir David Attenborough, thank you for a lifetime dedicated to the natural world, and for sharing its story with wisdom, wonder, and grace. You've inspired generations to fall in love with nature.
This photograph captures Sir David Attenborough seated outdoors on the rugged terrain of Skomer Island. Behind him, the ocean and coastal cliffs form a scenic backdrop under a clear sky. Sir David, dressed in a khaki jacket and light trousers, looks towards the camera with a gentle expression, exuding a sense of warmth, calm, and wisdom. Around him, puffins can be seen flying and perched on the rocky ground, illuminated in rays of golden sunlight as the sun sets behind the cliffs.

What was not mentioned in Paul's latest is that people often think of price level when saying inflation. Even professionals. And the price level change was mostly permanent. But of course it does not explain the sudden change in mood following the elections.
