Exactly! It's awesome being able to take existing mechanics and change them to fit your character like that. I haven't played monk in any long-running games, but I've found all the abilities you get to be fun. Having the ability reposition easily with your extra movement makes a big difference, too.

That still sounds fun! Monk and ranger are both super cool, I think you'll have a fun time with that multiclass. What kind of level split between the two do you think you'll go for? I feel like you could definitely flavor some of your ranger spells as being cast through Soul Trinkets.

It sounds like maybe Phantom Rogue is the way to go then for at least part of the multiclass you're building. If you're taking 9 levels of rogue to get the Tokens of the Departed feature, then you'll have all the other rogue abilities before that. IMO they're all super reliable and fun to work with.

Flavor is always free! Like you said, you could always reflavor the abilities or aethetics of a given subclass to be more aligned with what you want to do with the character. It's definitely a tough choice, but with the subclasses you mentioned I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun regardless!

It's really cool! I'm not up to date on the most recent research, but I enjoyed learning a bit about it in college. Looking at cave paintings always makes me feel connected to the people who lived such a long time ago, but still felt a desire to create and make art.

I saw the new Resident Evil movie today, I had a lot of fun with it! I thought the callbacks to the games were great, and I enjoyed all the horror aspects. It's always nice to see a new story in an existing world like this.

These pics are a bit late, but I was able to get my protogen wearable before attending my first con: IndyFurCon 2026! It was a wonderful experience, and I met a few people I'm looking forward to hanging out with again in the future. The con crud is kicking my butt now though lol.
