I was playing around with a dithered RGB shader, and swapped out all the green pixels for white ones, and got this. The wild thing is there are only black, white, red, and blue pixels in these scene. The orange, yellow, and green are an illusion! The 2nd image is a close up of the "green" sphere.

A very pixelated looking 3D scene with different coloured blocks and spheres in it. It looks like there are blocks that are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple, but it's rendered using only pixels that are black, white, red, and blue.

Trying to figure out how to get into Toronto for a thing on a friday evening, and google maps estimates the driving time as "1 hour 20 minutes to 2 hours 40 minutes". I would take the train, but it doesn't run late enough to get home. This is why I hardly go to Toronto anymore. :P

It sure seems like the big game publishers want the Hollywood studio way of working (i.e. hire a team of people to make a project, then they all go away when it's done), but without the unions and residuals.

the more I make games the more I'm convinced that the simplest way to lock in a direction for your game is to answer the thematic question of "what is your game trying to say?" as early as possible and then use the answer as a grounding point for EVERYTHING. it makes direction so much easier.

Working on physical electronics is so fun. You spend days designing everything, drawing out circuit diagrams, prototyping on a breadboard. Then you actually wire everything up properly on a prototype board and solder it all together and nothing works.

The Crimson Moon (I was trying to stack some video I took of the lunar eclipse and something went wrong with the tracking, but it made this very cool image)

A somewhat abstract image of the Moon. The moon’s shape is kind of visible in the center and bright at the top and darker in the center. But in front and behind the moon are red and purple streaky double images of the moon.
