Every Dem that voted yes needs to be primaried, along with the centrist Dems. We need don't need 'bipartisanship' with fascists. We need fighters. Push the party to the left. The actual left, not what usually passes for it in the US.

My record on Palestine speaks for itself. I’m proud of it. One of the strongest in Congress. I throw down for pro-Palestine candidates. Largely unrecognized work. That’s fine. Disagreements are fine, too. But if you want to toss all that for 1 half assed MTG stunt, be my guest. I know where I stand.

I see the misinformation machine is kicking up to support Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Israel amendment. Advocates have a responsibility to be clear about what legislation does and doesn’t do. Her amendment did NOT cut off offensive aid to Israel. We shouldn’t pretend it does. My statement on it:
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s statement:

Marjorie Taylor Greene's amendment does nothing to cut off offensive aid to Israel nor end the flow of US munitions being used in Gaza. Of course I voted against it.
What it does do is cut off defensive Iron Dome capacities while allowing the actual bombs killing Palestinians to continue.
I have long stated that I do not believe that adding to the death count of innocent victims to this war is constructive to its end. That is a simple and clear difference of opinion that has long been established.
I remain focused on cutting the flow of US munitions that are being used to perpetuate the genocide in Gaza.

When Ezra Klein told Jon Stewart about out-of-control regulations ruining Biden's rural broadband program, the clip went viral, with Elon Musk’s help. But the story wasn’t true—and the telecom monopolies who were the real saboteurs are still laughing. washingtonmonthly.com/2025/07/09/t...

The Broadband Story Abundance Liberals Like Ezra Klein Got Wrong | Washington Monthly
Ezra Klein and abundance liberals blame red tape for broadband delays. But the real story behind Biden’s BEAD program is far more complicated.

Definitely not beating the 'controlled opposition' claims. "Haunt them for years?" I doubt any of them will suffer for it. Not in the polls, not in their bank accounts (all they really care about), and not in their nonexistent conscience. Schumer's a senile idiot that has no business in politics.

Douglas (Part 3/3) - Gator Days
Panel 1

Douglas has been drawing at the park with Gustopher but it's time for him to leave.

Ben: Douglas, we're leaving.

Douglas: I have to go.

Gustopher: Bye, I had fun drawing with you.

Panel 2

Douglas admits to himself that he did have fun with drawing but he still feels sad about how his dad reacted to his picture. He's lost a lot of his motivation to make art.

Douglas: It was fun. I'm just bad at it.

Gustopher: Having fun is a good reason to draw.

Panel 3

Douglas is at home in his room. He's thinking about drawing. He did have a lot of fun drawing with Gustopher but he just keeps wishing he could be better.

Panel 4

Douglas begins to draw again. He draws a picture of himself with Gustopher in a forest with blue trees. He had briefly considered making the trees green but he likes making them blue. In this moment, it doesn't matter how good he is or what anyone else thinks. He's just enjoying what he's doing.

Progressives get steamrolled all the time in Congress. We are an outnumbered bloc, especially on matters of defense. Shouldn’t be hard. They know this isn’t “lefty” opposition. It is BROAD opposition from the American people across the board. The numbers show that. That’s why they’re pushing it.

Gustopher Goes Missing (Part 2) - Gator Days
Panel 1

August's son has just gone missing at the store. He is suddenly flooded with worry and anxiety. It's completely unrelated but Eva is in the background purchasing multiple cases of energy drinks. This will not end well but that's not important at the moment.

August (Thinking): My son is MISSING! What do I do?

Panel 2

August takes a deep breath. He needs to remain centered and make smart decisions right now.

August (Thinking): Don't panic. I need to stay calm.

Panel 3

August pulls out his phone to call Gustopher

August (Thinking): I'll just call his phone. This is the exact reason he has a phone.

Panel 4

Back at their home, Gustopher's phone is vibrating on his night stand. It's not even charging. It was just left there. Mewbert is sitting on the bed and Nougat is watching from the ground.

Nougat: MAW! (Possibly meaning "The rectangle shakes! Does this mean food is approaching?")

Mewbert: MEW. (Possibly meaning "Nay friend, that is not the shaking of the food bringer. We must while a while longer.")

Uncle Terry (Part 1) - Gator Days
Uncle Terry (Part 1)

Panel 1

Hannah's Uncle Terry shows up for a surprise visit. He and Hannah are happy to see one another.

Hannah: UNCLE TERRY!

Terry: HANNAH! Are your folks home?

Panel 2

Hannah shouts for her parents instead of walking the short distance to the living room to get them.

Hannah: DAD! PAPA! UNCLE TERRY IS HERE!

Panel 3

Hannah and Terry stand awkwardly at the door waiting for Seth and Daryl to arrive. Hannah is filled with anticipation. She's trying very hard to keep her mouth shut.

Panel 4

Hannah: Dad told me it's rude to ask if you brought gifts so I'm not.

Terry: Good Job.

Hannah: Thanks. It's hard.

I support the US garment industry. I don't believe in making life harder for immigrants or erecting blanket tariffs. So how can we reshore some of our US garment manufacturing without xenophobia or protectionism? Here's my view. 🧵
